Birds Eye Coffee is a brand new upbeat coffee brand from Los Angeles.
Concept:
This is a conceptual packaging project I created in which I wanted it to feel fun, refreshing and eye-catching. I wanted to make packaging that was felt unique and for coffee enthusiasts who can appreciate fresh new flavors and beautiful packaging as well.
I chose the fonts for the logo, color ways and illustrated the artwork in Adobe Illustrator. I decided to go with a limited, opaque color palette in purple hues, a toned down yellow and red. I wanted the colors to be bold but also compliment each other.
While doing trend research for the illustration , I noticed animals were a big part of many coffee design bags. I wanted to create the illustration in my own personal style that had a bird as the primary read, flowers and fruit as the secondary read.
Logo:
For the logo type I wanted to created something that felt fun, trendy but modern. I chose to go with a bold font called Marquisette which has a touch of 80s and retro vibes. The waves in the letter E gives off feminine qualities but also the boldness of the entire font has masculine qualities. For the sub logo font, I paired it with the font Poppins which is more round and easy to read.
